Citrus is the third important fruit crop after banana and mango in terms of production in India. The citrus cultivation in India is dominated by three major cultivars viz., mandarin, sweet orange, and limes and lemons occupying an area of 7.12 lakh hectares with a total production of 59.96 lakh tons. Nagpur mandarin, a premier citrus cutivar in India is grown in around of 1.27 lakh hectares area with a total production of 11.2 lakh tons. The average productivity of Nagpur mandarin (8.82 t/ha) is very low as compared to productivity (20-25 t/ha.) of other citrus growing countries like Brazil and USA. One of the major causes of lower productivity of citrus is shortage of irrigation water in critical water requiring stages of trees in post-monsoon period. Basically citrus is grown as an irrigated crop in different agro-climatic situations of India. Due to heavy demand of water in industrial use and drinking water purpose, the percentage of agriculture water use is reducing day by day. Moreover, due to indiscriminate use of ground water without adopting any rainwater conservation treatment and ground water recharging techniques, the situation of water scarcity becomes more acute.

In dieser Arbeit stellen wir Störungsrechnungen vor, die zu einem besseren Verständnis des Standardmodells führen. Nur mit solchen Rechnungen kann das Ziel erreicht werden, unerforschte und unerklärte Physik zu verstehen und zu finden. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit verbessern wir die Zuverlässigkeit von Vorhersagen für differentielle und exklusive Wirkungsquerschnitte für den grö ten Higgs-Produktionskanal am LHC, Gluon-Fusion. Dies geschieht durch Abschätzung und Vorhersage von endlichen Topmassen-Effekten zum häufig benutzten Limes eines unendlichen schweren Top-Quarks. Weiterhin untersuchen wir die Higgs-Gluon-Kopplung in einer effektiven Theorie mit Dimension-5 und -7 Higgs-Gluon koppelnden Operatoren. Dies ermöglicht eine systematische Suche nach neuer Physik im Higgs-Sektor. Im QCD Gradientflow-Formalismus haben wir die erste Drei-Loop-Rechnung durchgeführt. Die betrachtete Observable ermöglicht es beispielsweise die Niederenergie-Region der QCD, welche sich auf die Gitter-Formulierung stützt, mit dem störungstheoretischen Hochenergie-Bereich zu verbinden. Die Bestimmung der QCD-Koppung wird durch Abgleich mit einer Gitter-QCD-Rechnung ermöglicht.

Im Jahre 2013 fand die Tagung der Limesfachberatung des Bezirks Mittelfranken unter dem Motto "Der Limes als antike Grenze des Imperium Romanum. Grenzen im Laufe der Jahrhunderte" statt. Anlass der Tagung waren neue Forschungsergebnisse zur romischen Grenze, die keinesfalls eine Grenze im modernen Sinn ist, denn die modernen linearen Grenzen heutiger Nationalstaaten gibt es erst seit dem 18. Jahrhundert. Dieses verbreitete Missverstandnis entsteht leider auch durch Karten zum Imperium Romanum mit einer linearen Grenzdarstellung. Zu dieser Gesamtproblematik stellten auf der Tagung 2013 funf renommierte Fachleute ihre Forschungsergebnisse zu verschiedenen Aspekten des Grenzsystems Limes und der Grenzen in vorgeschichtlichen, mittelalterlichen und neuzeitlichen Epochen vor, die nun in gedruckter Form vorliegen.

Although citrus fruit has been grown in India since the time immemorial, their commercial cultivation has been undertaken only in modern times. The acid lime (Citrus aurantifolia) is cultivated extensively in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Gujrat, Bihar, and some other states, occupying more than 10 per cent of the total area under citrus fruit in India. They are cultivated all over the breadth and length of country. Kagzi lime occupies second place among the citrus fruit under cultivation in India. Maharashtra leads the rest of states both in area and production of limes and Andhra Pradesh comes next. The cultivation of Acid lime is somewhat restricted to central and southern India, because of its susceptibility to cold and well marked seasons, its performance in north is not up to the mark. Some principal countries where it is extensively grown are the United States of America, India, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Israel, Mexico, Morocco, Algeria and South Africa. In India, citrus occupies commercially a very important place among the fruit crops next only to mango and banana.

Mapping the Roman Water Supply System of the Wadi el Melah Valley in Gafsa, Tunisia, Using Remote Sensing

In recent years, very high-resolution satellite remote-sensing tools have been progressively used in archaeological prospecting to acquire information and improve documentation. Satellite remote sensing has also benefited from technical improvements, including better spectral and spatial resolution of sensors, which have facilitated the detection and discovery of unknown archaeological areas. This paper focuses on investigations conducted using multi-spectral satellite remote-sensing data of the ancient canal systems of the Wadi el Melah Valley (WMV) in Southern Tunisia. The area used to be part of a huge military defense system along the desert border. This paper describes the use of GeoEye-1 and Ziyuan-3 satellite remote-sensing data to reveal ancient Roman canals, which were part of an advanced hydraulic system devised to capture runo water and cope with the lack of water in the area. In general, this research provides new information on some essential sections of the Roman walled defense system Limes (Fossatum) in the southern part of the empire, where we study previously undetected sites.

The defensive system of the lower danubian limes in late antiquity was structured within provincia Scythia in an advanced line, corresponding to the last course of the Danube, and in a more backward one hinged on large fortified towns, which at least from Zaldapa to the south reached as far as Noviodunum to the north, passing through Tropaeum Traiani and Ibida, but also through minor fortifications such as Ulmetum and Vicus Bad(---). Die einstige Herrschaft der Römer auf dem heutigen österreichischen Staatsgebiet ist durch zahlreiche antike Baudenkmäler bezeugt, welche sich grö tenteils entlang des Donaulimes aneinanderreihen. Als besondere, dem Grenzschutz dienende Befestigungsbauten wurden einerseits Wachttürme (lat. burgus) und andererseits Lager (lat. castra) errichtet. Diese Bautätigkeit nahm im 1. Jh. n. Chr. ihren Anfang und erfuhr bis zum Ende des 4. Jh. n. Chr. ihre Fortsetzung, wobei das römische Kastell eine Entwicklung vom Holz-Erde-Lager zur vollständig aus Stein gefertigten Anlage durchlief. In der zweiten Hälfte des 5. Jh. n. Chr. zogen sich die Römer infolge des Germanensturms grö tenteils auf die Regionen südlich der Alpen zurück. Die Befestigungsbauten wurden zum überwiegenden Teil zerstört oder dienten im Mittelalter als Rohstoffquellen für neue Gebäude. Im vorliegenden Buch sollen jene Reste römischer Baudenkmäler behandelt werden, welche entlang des norischen Limes zwischen Oberranna im Westen und Zeiselmauer im Osten positioniert sind. Publie en francais, il comprend les inscriptions d'epoque romaine du sud ouest de la Dobroudja avec les cites de Tropaeum, Traiani, Axiopolis, Sacidava, Durostoruma, situees le long du limes danubien. Elles permettent de connaitre l'histoire mouvementee de cette region depuis la conquete romaine marquee notamment par les inscriptions du trophee de Trajan a Adamclisi aux luttes contre les barbares du Bas-Empire. Elles font connaOEtre egalement la romanisation et la christianisation de la region. Il faut noter deux faits remarquables sur ce corpus: il comprend les inscriptions de Durostorum trouvees sur le territoire bulgare et les inscriptions souvent negligees sur l'instrumentum.
